Moose Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the Loyal Order of Moose. I’m Dr. Keith Reeves, and I’m a Trustee on the Board of Officers for Front Royal Moose Lodge #829. I’m pleased to be your sponsor!

The Moose Lodge is a non-profit fraternal organization under Virginia law, meaning to purchase anything (food, beverage, gaming tickets, etc) you have to be a card-carrying member who has been voted into membership. We get that done in three steps:

Step One: Application

First, here is the link to an application form that I’ve already filled out with my sponsor information:

Next, print an application form for each person who wants to join the Moose. Each person should complete the yellow-highlighted lines. (Note there are items on both sides.)

Once you have your printed, completed, and signed applications, take the applications and $65 for the annual dues (which covers local, state, and international dues for one full year), and come over to the Moose Lodge! ( Click Here for Directions in Google Maps. )

You can drop off your application with the Administrator or the Steward (Bartender) on duty in the Social Quarters whenever it’s open. ( Click Here for our Facebook group, with Social Quarters hours. ) Because you’re not a member yet, ring the red doorbell for entrance, and let them know you’re applying for membership. Now we wait just a bit!

Step Two: Approval Vote

Member Meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of every month. At each of those meetings, a list of applicants will be presented for a vote, and your membership will be voted on. Once your vote is successful, you’re in! Now we just need to get you your card!

Step Three: Membership Card

It takes a couple of weeks to get your Moose Member card in the mail, which you can use to gain access to any Lodge in the world, as a member of the brotherhood! However, you don’t have to wait weeks after your vote.

The email address you list on your application will receive an approval email once the application is approved and the Administrator’s paperwork is complete. You can print and show that email just like it’s a membership card, until you get your real card in the mail.

I have found that the annual dues more than pay for themselves in the money I’ve saved on food and beverage, and the friendships I’ve formed. I look forward to welcoming you to our Lodge!
